Jemere: Morgan's Phase Two

Jemere means "wish come true". If Jemere's wishes do come true, he is on his way to paving an exciting and successful musical career. His grand-father, Denroy Morgan, who brought you the hit record 'I’ll Do Anything For You', topped all the Billboard charts in 1981. His success was so significant; consequently he was the first reggae artist to be signed by RCA, a major record label. His father, Gramps Morgan, is an international reggae artist and his uncles a part of the hit group Morgan Heritage.

Whilst enjoying music from artists such as Mario, Chris Brown, Otis Redding and India Arie, Jemere's most significant musical influence comes from his father, who supports him and inspired him to push his talent boundaries. Jemere also adheres to his father’s favorite quote which is "Respect and manners will carry you through the world".

While growing up Jemere fell in love with music when he went on the Van Warps tour with his family for 7 weeks. Seeing his father and band mates, Morgan Heritage, perform, inspired Jemere so much that he knew music was the only thing that he wanted to do with his life. What makes Jemere stand out from other artists is his unique style of combining various musical genres. He has recorded music that blends pop with reggae, rhythm & blues with hip hop. Jemere is currently working in the studio on his EP. His first single entitled 'First Kiss' , is now available on iTunes. Additionally, Jemere recently toured Europe with Gramps and Peetah Morgan, as the nightly opening act. This eye-opening experience was an exciting start to Jemere’s career, showcasing his talent on an international stage.
