Beenie Man's Birthday Bash: Fit for a King
August 8, 2011
Last month, Jamaican recording artiste, Beenie Man, received his US visa just in time for his highly anticipated birthday celebrations. Renowned dancehall promoter’s, Irish and Chin, have been planning a birthday celebration rumored to be....”fit for a King”, a Dancehall king that is! Scheduled for Saturday, August, 20th in Amazura, Irish and Chin's spectacular fete will also serve as a welcome back to the international scene and a means for some of Dancehall's biggest promoter to express their gratitude to the "King of the Dancehall" for his support over the years.
"Beenie Man is one of the few artists that has supported us through the ups and downs of the Dancehall entertainment industry," says Garfield "Chin" Bourne. "Whether it's an event in New York or one in Japan, the ace DJ has always been ready to go....this gathering will serve as a token of my appreciation for Beenie's support”.
According to Ronald Fraser, Event manager, “Since we announced the 'Beenie Man Birthday Bash' …the level of excitement has been overwhelming....people in New York really miss him, so the anticipation for this event is high,"
Set to be a star-studded affair, invitations will also be extended scores of die hard fans in the New York, tri-state area. For the first time in more than two years, since visa complications, fans will be granted a chance to get up close and personal with the "King of the Dancehall" himself.
